Kansas State Game Positives

I'm really not interested in focusing on what went wrong against K-State; we'll get to that later. Right now, I just want to look at what happend that was good for A&M.

  • Jorvoskie Lane rushed for his first TD of the season, giving him 46 TDs overall for his career. He set two records on the play, 45 career rushing TDs and 46 overall career TDs. Both records were held by former A&M great Darren Lewis.
  • The Aggies had over 500 yards of total offense, a first for the 2008 season.
  • Jerrod Johnson set a school record for passing yards in a game, with 419.
  • Jerrod Johnson also set a school record for total offense in a game, with 487 total yards (419 passing, 68 rushing).
  • Ryan Tannehill set a school freshman record for receptions (12) and receiving yards (210).
  • Tannehill also set a school record for receiving yards in Big 12 play (210 yards).
  • Jerrod Johnson was 29-41 passing for 2 TDs and no INTs. 21 of those 29 completions were to freshmen receivers (12 to Tannehill, 7 to Jeff Fuller, 2 to Cyrus Gray).
  • A&M's 30 points was a season-high, surpassing the 28 we scored against New Mexico and against against Oklahoma State.
  • The 544 yards of total offense was a season high, the most A&M has had in a conference game since the 2007 Baylor game.
  •   This is our second consecutive game with over 400 yards of total offense.
  • A&M is averaging 473 yards of total offense per conference game so far this season.

Can't wait to see how the A&M offense does against Tech.

This is gonna be a great game, fellas. I can’t wait. Hopefully, we can keep both boards clean and hate-free. It makes it more fun when everyone has a positive attitude. Both defenses should be tested and the pass will be prevalent. Since the game is not in Lubbock, it should be relatively close ;) I will post my prediction on both boards Thursday.

GUNS UP!!!!!
(and Gig ’Em too, I guess, but only against Texas, depending on the outcome of this game)
