bad news folks...
My son fell off the bed while playing around and broke both bones in his right arm. We'll talk to a pediatric orthopedic surgeon tomorrow to learn if he needs surgery or not. Either way it's 6-8 weeks in a cast. I've seen nastier breaks on the field, but when its your child...Well, I did the best I could, and that's all I can do.
I'll do my best to check in early next week - but I ask your forgiveness if I'm not able to log in for a little while...Feel free to ask whatever questions you have, that'll keep my brain distracted, and I'll answer them ASAP.
Take care folks, and have a wonderful weekend!

is it his throwing arm?
Is he lost for the season? When will he be off the DL? Does Coach Sherman now about this? DON’T YOU KNOW HOW THIN WE ARE AT QB?!?!?!!
In all seriousness, hope he gets well. I’ll pester you by email as needed.
But of course...
Answers, in order:
Of course it’s his throwing arm! What else would it be? Upside? He’s taking to the left quite easily. And lets not forget that Steve Young, Tom Glavine & Randy Johnson all made a pretty good go of it…
He’s out for a minimum of 6 weeks. Could be longer – will depend on what the x-rays show with time. Upside? No surgery!
I think Coach Sherman is slightly oblivious…Besides, he’s looking for healthy – all I’ve got is banged up.
Yeah, we’re a little thin at QB – but at least Sherman doesn’t have the drama of V-Tech, BC or even ’Sip-U to deal with! (recruit tampering, rape/assault, and well, ’sip-u!)
When it's your son!
I agree wholeheartedly. When it is your son, it’s always worse. I hope he gets well soon.

I forgot to mention the "downside"
My son’s favorite color? ORANGE. So, what color is his cast ? Orange!
At least it’s not “burnt” (more like dayglow!) — and it’s Halloween…and his godmother went to U of Florida – orange and blue…
These are the things I tell myself to get me through the day…
