J Train-Facebook

So I am friends with the Train on facebook and his updated status appeared on my "news feed".  I took a screenshot with the intentions of uploading it but I guess you can't upload pics onto SBNation and it would be a waste of time to get it hosted somewhere.

So I quote (copy and paste)

"Jorvorskie Lane $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$" mobile update, 26 minutes ago (around one AM)

If you don't know what a facebook status is, first of all, be happy that you haven't given in to the maketing gods.  Secondly, it is a feature that people use to easily update their friends with what they are doing.  For example, "Carsondude is watching A&M get massacred", etc.

So what is J Train thinking here.  Is it supposed to be like now he is cashing out in the NFL or is it a cover for durse words.  Those are the two that I'm thinking.  Maybe since I can contact him directly, I should ask him...or ask him if he needs an agent. :)

I know this is dumb but hey, football season's over.

I think he's just saying

time to get paid.

Hope he gets into shape and kicks butt at the Combine.

This smacks of Toombs

In that if he doesn’t get into shape, he’ll be left out. I really hope he gets in shape; Tellus doing so well in the NFL does nothing but good things for A&M.

i picked the latter..

..b/c there’s no way he can be proud of the season he had. I have not watched too much of ya’lls games, but wasn’t he changing to a FB? I don’t know how good his blocking skills are, but his receiving skills weren’t on display thurs. I think he is too big to do anything meaningful at the combine.

cant wait

i for one cant wait to see what becomes of lane at the combine. so much mystery has surrounded his true weight and 40. not that texas doesnt fib about their players….ex roy williams is 6’5" all of his college career than 6’2" at the combine…………i just find it hard to believe that lane will be faster than oh….say 5.2 in the 40 ….. if he does break the 5 flat range i will be extemely suprised and be the first to admit i was wrong

I Lost

my love and respect for him as a player this season because of his lack of effort in games. Especially in blocking. He always seemed to be pouting about not playing, but when you don’t do what the coach tells you to I guess you really shouldn’t expect to play much.

Seems like there may be about 25 too many $ signs in his update. He’ll get a shot in the NFL, but he’ll have to really earn any money he makes. Is it me, or does it look like there really aren’t many teams that even employ a true fullback anymore, much less one who doesn’t seem fond of blocking? Even if he was a blocking genius, it would appear his options would be limited. Would he be able to convert to defense?
