Ask a Sooner

Hey guys, I'm Nick and am one of the writers over at the Oklahoma blog on SB Nation, Crimson and Cream Machine.

If there is anything you want to know about the Sooners but didn't have anyone to ask, please feel free to ask me here in this Fan Post.

I personally am nervously confident going into this game since we always seem to struggle when we play in College Station but the way our offense is rolling, it might not be as tough as it as been in the past.

ryan broyles

does OU view him as a All-American type at WR?

I love watching that kid play.

From what I have seen this season

Broyles seems to have the tools to be in that mold of a Mark Clayton. Certainly having Bradford at QB and the other WR’s and TE’s we have, he is able to get a 3rd corner on him and he takes advantage.

I think he will have a great career and depending on how he continues to develop and mature he will be great.

Though the offensive explosion in the Big 12 will make it tougher for any WR to be All Big 12 or All American unless they are just head and shoulders above the rest.

I think Crabtree, Bryant, and Maclin have the All-American spots locked up

I don’t think they’ll give first team consideration to anyone else from the Big 12, although there are other who obviously deserve it (Shipley at texas, KSU’s Brandon Banks, etc.)

Or even Johnson or Iglesias here

Now down the road maybe Bryoles could become one but this season the Big 12 is QB and WR loaded.
