Stephen McGee Wins Aggie Heart Award
I do not know if anyone has ever won this award unaminously, but if anyone ever was going to, then it should have been Stephen McGee.
McGee, the senior from Burnet, did everything he could for this team and university over the last 5 years, starting with entering a semester early to learn Coach Fran's system as soon as possible.
2005 v. texas
Everyone will remember the 2 great wins against texas, especially 'The Drive,' but I will remember Stephen for his never say die attitude.
Things did not end the way Stephen or Aggie fans envisioned, but throughout his final year in maroon he was essentially another coach on the sideline for redshirt sophomore Jerrod Johnson.
As the son of a coach, I think we will see Stephen on the sidelines once his NFL days are over. Hopefully, one day his coaching career will cross paths with the Marron and White in Aggieland again.
Gig 'em Stephen!
The Aggie Heart Award is the most prestigous award given out to a football player at A&M. It is voted on by the members of the team.
