You know, it is really sad when I have to continue to post things to be positive about when we're already out of football season. I think we all thought we'd have some things to be happy about in basketball season, but apparently not.

Our 72-61 loss to Oklahoma State shows that we still have a lot of work to do if we want to be even considered a decent team, much less a good one. The loss also highlighted concerns voiced on here before about lack of team play, lack of offensive identity, and questions about coaching. This thread is for positives from the game, though, so we'll leave analysis for later.

• Junior Elonu had a career game, with 20 points, 12 rebounds, 1 block, and 1 steal.
• B.J. Holmes had 19 points to go along with 2 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 block. Holmes scored 7 points as we came back from 14 down in the first half, 30-16, to close it to 2, 32-30.
• Donald Sloan had 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists.
• Dash Harris had a nice drive where cut through traffic and laid the ball in.

That's it. Those were all the positives for the game.

Our next game against Baylor at Reed is going to tell us a lot about this team. I am sticking with my original prediction, though, and I think we start the season 0-2.
