Preseason Poll Ranks Aggie Baseball No. 4

NCBWA has ranked the Aggie Baseball team No. 4 in its preseason poll. North Carolina, LSU, and Rice are the only schools in the country ranked ahead of the Aggies.

The Aggies are the highest ranked Big 12 team, followed by texas at #8, Oklahoma State at #16, Baylor at #19, Missouri at #20, and Oklahoma at #28. With half the conference featuring ranked teams, it should be a fun year in Big 12 play.

This will be a very important year for Aggie Baseball and head coach Rob Childress. No more excuses, his team is in place and poised for a run at Omaha. I am very excited to watch the Big 12's best weekend rotation this season.

The Aggies first pitch of 2009 is 20-Feb at Olsen.
