Bowles Leaves Aggie Hoops Squad

Denzel Bowles, sophomore from Virginia Beach, Va., has left the Aggie basketball team and plans on transferring to another school.

Bowles goes up for the swat against Texas State

Bowles' defection, while not a key contributor, will hurt the Aggies in Big XII play. He was good for some clean-up minutes or giving the guys with a more prominent role a breather.

This does clear room should the Aggies decide to add a player for next year, but that seems unlikely.

We all wish Denzel the best, he seemed like a good guy.

Just so there is no confusion...

Damn!!!

I was counting on him to be an extra big man inside to help defend against Griffin. I figured if anyone got into foul trouble, we could get him some quality minutes.

Bowles was developing slowly, but I was thinking he could develop along the same course as Davis or Elonu.
