Former UNT QB Transferring To A&M

Giovanni Vizza is transferring to A&M after two seasons in Denton. Vizza put up some decent numbers (5,146 yards and 32 touchdowns in 22 games), but we will see what he can do at the BCS level.

I found this a very peculiar place for him to transfer for both sides-

For Mr. Vizza: There is no indication that he would step in front of any the QBs we have on campus already. Frankly, four people would need to be injured before Vizza would see the field at A&M.

For Texas A&M: We just brought in a walk-on transfer from SMU, Winston Gamso, so why waste a scholarship against the 85? Something does not add up to me. I guess we will all just have to see how it plays out.

With Vizza transferring, expect to see Riley Dodge as the starting quarterback of the Mean Green next season.

Anyways, Welcome to Aggieland, Mr Vizza, enjoy your stay.

We only have three QBs on the roster

With Tannehill possibly moving to WR full-time if he doesn’t beat out JJ for the starting spot, we would be left with only Tommy Dorman as our backup. We need bodies just for practice time alone.
