PrintChristine Michael, the #6 back in the nation has finally recommitted to A&M.
This is a huge pickup for Sherman in my eyes. Scoring the #28 player in the country just shows to the fanbase, players, and recruits that the team isn't dead after one bad season.
Unfortunately, a high school rating means little to heart, soul, and performance in college. Many 5 star players don't pan out and the 2 star ones do. But either way, it's not going to hurt.
It looks like Mcguffie will be heading to Rice. With Goodson and J-train gone, we will still have Gray and now Michael. Gray is a great back and was also a high recruit. WIth great running backs still patrolling our backfield, we just need a solid line, a good defense and we're back! (optimism lives!)

I think the McGuffie to Rice move
basically means we chose a potential four years of Michael over a potential 3 years of McGuffie
I think McGuffie is a monster talent, and wish him well, but am happy with Michael. I think McGuffie will excel at Rice.
