Thursday Links
A few different links to look at today:
- Turgeon has challenged Junior Elonu to prove he isn't "soft", which has resulted in his improved play of recent. I figured Elonu would slowly improve his play as his tenure at A&M went on, but if calling him soft makes him play harder, I'm all for it. I do think it is amusing that Turgeon would says Kansans are mentally tougher than Texans; um, yeah. Mention the Dixie Chicks and see how long they keep their composure, Turge.
- Derrick Roland should be ready to go against Oklahoma State on Saturday. Glad to see Roland is healthy again.
- Turgeon says Aggies will get challenge they need against Oklahoma State. I'm not thrilled to see the players basically saying they are bored by non-conference play, but hopefully our habit of playing down to the competition will end when we take the court in Stillwater. I'm just trying to be optimistic, and hope I won't have to hear another postgame press conference from Turgeon where he is raving about the opposing team's guards after they've torn us a new one.
- Brent Zwerneman takes a peak at Aggie football recruiting. I was shocked to learn that Mike Goodson wasn't considered a 5-star recruit. As if Robert Griffin or Michael Crabtree didn't give you enough of a reason to thumb your nose at recruiting rankings.
