I have definitely begun to sour on Sherman. I thought it was a bad hire at the time, and nothing has changed my mind. You don't need 5 years to evaluate a coach; Saturday will be telling.

Y'all won't lose by 100...

For a lot of reasons. Beating aggy by 100 will do nothing for Tech. Aggy will be playing tough on Saturday because when you are fighting to not be castrated, you fight harder. Tech will likely (though it is not confirmed yet) start their third string QB Doege, which could be a plus or a minus for aggy… plus, he is untried and hasn’t played much since he was a Sophomore in High School. Minus, there is only a red-shirted freshman behind him, so he’ll stay in the whole game – so if he pulls a Sheffield and lights up the scoreboard, there will be no one to go to to take the foot off the gas.

Really, though. Tech will have no problem with aggy, but I do not expect any humiliating blowout. Maybe 52-6 or so, which wouldn’t be all bad. Then again, sometimes it is hard to get up for games like this, so maybe aggy does better than expected.

Ok, so here is my Beergut impression (Beergut is a joke…seriously):

“Tech is a nobody team that has never done anything” (followed by a litany of aggy antique trophies).

But Tech has beaten aggy something like 8 out of the last 10 in the Leach era!

“That is ancient history, man”

How long will Tech have to dominate aggy for you to realize that you have become a joke in the Big 12?

“1000 years”

… and a question for Beergut…

So, since Tech beat KSU by 52, and you lost by something like 48… are you happy that you lost by that amount, since it gives your team nowhere to go but up? I really want to know.

Sincerely, your friend,

Antiswarm

The "lose by 100" ploy is a good one though...

If enough people throw the “100” number out there, a loss by 21 or 28 won’t look that bad. Very clever (squints eyes)… I see what you did there.

You are one contentious dude.

Anyways, I didn’t post this as a ploy; it’s just an over-the-top article that was worth mentioning on this site.

apparently

what real football experts say is true. It doesn’t matter how a team plays the week before, it just matters how they play in each game.
