Recruiting News
How is our team looking as far as recruiting? I don't follow it a whole lot, so i'm hoping someone who does can give us all a comprehensive report. Are there any players that haven't commited to us that we might snatch up? Is Jeffcoat even looking at A&M anymore? Most "expert sites" have us as a top 15 school right now in the rankings.
I think that Sherman has shown an excellent ability to scout talent and even develop talent. Von Miller and EZ are excellent examples. Miller has been on the team before Sherman and only this year with his new position is he dominating. I don't like how Sherman used J-Train, but if he can continue to improve the team and get good players, I might let it go.

It's looking very good.
So far we have a pretty solid recruiting class for Sherman’s 2nd.
We have 5 offensive linemen committed, all of which are rated pretty highly (Rivals)
We have 3 QBs (which I guess can’t hurt), and they are all pretty good.
We have 3 Athletes, 1 WR, and 1 RB which range from decent to good.
We have 3 DEs, 2 DTs, and 2 LBs coming in.
According to Rivals, which I would consider fairly reliable, we have the 11th best class, behind only texas and Oklahoma in the Big XII. Also, all of our recruits are 3 or 4 stars, with 12 being 3 stars and 8 being 4 stars. 4 of those 8 4 star players are OL which is good considering the lack of depth the team has there.
Jackson Jeffcoat does not have any interest in playing for Texas A&M.
One player to watch is Mike Davis, a 4 star receiver currently committed to LSU. His commitment is Soft and the only other school he is interested in is A&M.
We also have some other good players on the radar that haven’t committed anywhere yet.
I know that’s a very minimal breakdown of the recruiting class but I hope it helps.

Good stuff mwg
As for J-train, I think Sherman never got on the same page with the seniors that year. There is probably blame to go both ways there as that senior class was pretty loyal to Fran, but ultimately the buck stops with the coaching staff. Having said that, Sherman looks like he is doing a good job of developing the tea. Barring that K-State disaster, the curve seems to suggest the team is getting better by the week.
