Aggies 38 Baylor 3 - Bowl Eligibility Celebration Thread

528 yards of total offense, 375 yards rushing, a new record for the longest play from scrimmage in A&M history, and a win to make us bowl eligible all made for an enjoyable game.

This is your postgame reaction thread.

I was at the game

Defense looked better than average, they threw a lot of screens and outside dumpoffs at us, and even when we knew they were coming, we still had trouble making the plays. But overall we tackled well.

Offense—the running game obviously did fantastic. We really never passed the first half. We didn’t break 100 passing yards until sometime in the 3rd quarter I believe. JJ still looks somewhat uneasy in the pocket, running often (although usually for great gains). O-Line play is still improving and provided great running lanes against Baylor.

Good news is we accomplished most fans major goals: bowl game and beat Baylor. The sad thing is that this team probably could’ve accomplished much more. The season isn’t over yet though, if we can have a good game on Thursday and then win our bowl, the season will be a success. Plus, EVERYONE is coming back next year. I don’t think Von will leave.

Sadly Yes

I felt bad about writing that but I mean come on, we lost to them last year and they’re Balyor, so it has to be a goal. All the other teams in our division didn’t look beatable so we had to have a goal. Obviously, it is a minimal goal and it was the bare minimum for this season.

Basically, if those two goals weren’t met, we relight the fire under Sherman and the Athletics Department.

I wouldn't say beating Baylor was a "major goal"

because it is an expectation to beat Baylor.

Getting to at least six wins and going to a bowl game was a minimum goal for this season, though. We needed to at least go to a bowl game to show that we were making progress as we rebuild the program from the shambles Franchione left it in.

Congrats on your win

Congrats on getting bowl eligible. I’m really happy for the Aggies getting these accomplishments done after an abysmal season last year.

Looking foward to the game on Thursday. Here’s to an injury-free game! Hook em!

Get off your knees Greg, you're blowin' the game.

All I asked for this year was to show improvement. 6 wins shows improvement. We now will get an extra month of practice for all of our freshmen.
