What Bowl Game Would You Like The Ags To Go To?

It seems our two choices for bowl destinations, regardless of the results on Thursday, are the Independence Bowl in Shereveport, LA or the Texas Bowl in Houston, TX. The traveling distance to each is fairly negligible; Houston is within an hour of College Station if you drive fast, and Shreveport is within a day's driving distance. Shreveport is roughly a five hour drive from College Station, and only three hours from Dallas. Either bowl game is an easy trip to Aggie fans.

If we played in the Texas Bowl, we'd face a Navy team featuring the flexbone offense. The advantage there is that the whole "former military school playing a current military school" storyline would really appeal to the media. If we played in the Independence Bowl, we'd most likely face an at-large SEC team.

Which bowl would you rather play in?

I seem to remember A&M losing in the snow in Shreveport one year, in game that made me want to puke.

aggie football, beating an SEC team and gambling what else is better than that

There's something spiritual about baseball — like Mother Nature," Garrido said. "You don't mess with it. And I think before a player can really believe in it, he has to experience it."

the one plus for Shreveport for me

is that I’d be able to get my rooms comped in a casino.

It really depends on which SEC team we’d be playing before I’d say I’m for going there, though.

Playing in front of a friendly crowd in Houston against Navy appeals to me. I am normally in favor of bowls being a reward for players, but given how we’ve played away from home this year, I’d be happy to play in a bowl close to home.
