Washington Game Review
We fell apart after Derrick Roland's injury. I don't think anything else needs to be said. We didn't handle adversity well, and Washington took advantage of our inability to recover after losing Roland. We do not look anything like a top 25 team right now, and I won't be surprised if we fall out of the rankings on next Monday.
We need to figure out how to play without Roland, because we still have a whole conference season left to play. Some of our guys are going to have to step it up; it is as simple as that.

Any updates on Roland?
I heard he went almost immediately into surgery in Seattle. I hate that this is how his career ends.
surgery this morning to put a rod in, he’ll be there til after christmas, turgeon and sloan are staying until at least his aunt arrives and A&M is trying to fly his mom in but are having problems because of sold out flights for holidays. Then they’ll get a medical flight for roland when he can be released.
Offensively i think we’ll be alright, naji hibbert will get more time on the floor in his absence and continues to gain confidence offensively, along with BJ Holmes who can light it up when he’s on will help, as far as defense is concerned. thats the problem, we’re a defensive team without a defensive leader. It will be interesting to see who really steps up. Sload and Davis have a lot more on their shoulders now.
damn he looks calm as hell for someone who had a 90* leg injury

As a UW Fan
Watching that happen was terrifying, however I’m proud of how our team and fans reacted in total support of Roland. Last night coach Romar, a couple assistants and Quincy Pondexter went and visited him. It’s a pretty good article if you guys are interested:

Best of luck the rest of the season.
