Joe Kines Retires

Just got a text from a friend that Joe Kines has retired. Billy Liucci confirmed it. I did not expect this to happen until after signing day but I imagine that this will not have much of an effect on recruiting. Kines came out of retirement to take the job, and he gave it his all for two years. I am thankful for his effort and excited about what a new DC can do for our defense. I do not know of any candidates off the top of my head, I just hope we go with a guy who likes to use odd fronts. There have been rumors all season that current secondary coach Charles McMillan would eventually be a DC, maybe even at A&M. I have faith in Mike Sherman. I think he will make the right choice to help our program take the next step.
