Who Will Be Attending The Independence Bowl?

I will be driving to Shreveport to attend the Independence Bowl for the first time. This isn't my first time in Shreveport, but it is my first time going there for a bowl game. I plan on doing a lot of gambling and watching a lot of college football before and after our game. If anyone wants to meet up before or after the game, I'm open to suggestions. I'll probably be doing most of my gambling at Harrah's Horseshoe Bossier City off of Traffic Street.

Who else is going?

There's something spiritual about baseball — like Mother Nature," Garrido said. "You don't mess with it. And I think before a player can really believe in it, he has to experience it."

Count me in

I’ve read this blog for a while, but never joined until now. Anyway, I’m going to be there. I’m always a fan of the Horseshoe. Is there an Aggie meeting place?

CMT Crossroads is probably the perfect meeting place for Aggies at the Horseshoe

I’m going to look into where we are having yell practice and other events, though, too.

If you haven't been before,

the Boardwalk is a pretty nice area. Several restaurants (Salt Lick, Joe’s Crab Shack, Copeland’s), comedy club/bowling, and plenty of shopping. There are also plenty of places to eat around town. Superior Bar and Grill is good for Mexican food. Ralph and Cakoo’s is a good place for creole/ seafood. For breakfast I recommend Strawns Eat Shop. The food is good and the pie is damn good. If you want a nice place to eat then Ernest’s Orleans is a great choice.

I plan on winning big at the tables then blowing all my winnings on coke and strippers. Whose with me?

haha

Sounds excellent, but I’m stuck out of the country. I was just in Shreveport after TG, and the dice were brutal for me.
