Why A.J. Abrams Will Never Be A Great Player
The great ones can admit it when someone else takes them out of their game, and gets the best of them on that night; Abrams isn't one of those people.
Abrams sounds like the big-talker at the playground who is schooled on the court, and just claims he is in a slump. I guess he didn't consider that the reason none of his shots went in is because there was a hand in his face all the time, but admitting that would puncture little A.J.'s ego.
I guess Abrams' shots weren't going in at the Erwin Center, either? It seems awfully coincidental that every time Derrick Roland faces Abrams, Abrams suddenly becomes unable to hit a shot. I guess Abrams can blame a coincidence for why he will never be a great player.
