2009 NFL Draft Live Thread

Who will take Stephen McGee? Where will Mike Goodson end up? Will Jorvorskie Lane or Michael Bennett be drafted?

Hopefully, we'll get the answers to some of these questions over the next two days. This is your 2009 NFL Draft live thread.

Stafford goes to the Lions, as expected

$41.7 million guaranteed

My first pick as biggest bust in the 2009 draft has been chosen.

Oakland takes Darrius Heyward-Bey, WR, Maryland

can’t believe they took him instead of Michael Crabtree

the Texans take Brian Cushing, OLB, USC

my second pic for first round bust right here

the Texans obviously didn’t learn anything from Green Bay’s experience with Tony Mandarich

I think Cushing is a similar steroid creation.

Crabtree will be a pro bowler. Once again Al Davis falls in love with the stopwatch. That is why Oakland sucks. So Clay Matthews the walkon LB is a first round pick? Where was rivals and scout on that one? I still say this is a very weak draft in the first round. Lots of second day value though. I like green bays draft so far IF Raji can keep his weight under control. He looks 350 right now

Was hoping Oher would slide down to the Cowboys but happy that he was a first rounder. Cushing is such a reach

Maybe the cowboys can get William Moore

Gotta love Mangini building his OL. Cardinals with the best first round pick IMO in Wells.

Ziggy Hood finds his way into the 1st round

Now I’m wondering if Mauluga failed a drug test or something. Cannot believe he has fallen like this. NE got Chung. Wonder who the Cowboys will go after now

Denver is f-ing this all up. You don’t trade 1st round picks in what will be a stronger draft than this one, for a 2nd round this year. Smith is a great DB but this is not a good sign for Denver. I predict doom for their franchise.

I am having visions of Madagascar
I predict doom for their franchise.

Doom on you, doom on you.

Once again, Jerry Jones shows why he is not a real football guy. So disappointing
