Aggies Lose To Oklahoma, 9-0

The Ags dropped a 9-0 decision to OU in a pathetic, two-hit effort in Norman on Saturday. A&M was dominated by Sooner pitcher Michael Rocha, who went 6 innings while striking out 5 and giving up only 1 walk.

A&M is now playing for a #5 seed, at best, in the Big 12 Tournament at 1 p.m. today. If they win, they are the #5 seed; if they lose, they are the #6 seed.

Considering how much was expected of this team coming into the season, finishing conference play by losing the series to OU just adds to the disappointment. Of the nine series played in conference play, A&M has won only four of them. Winning less than half your series in conference play is the very definition of mediocrity.

Given that this team was ranked as high as #1 in the preseason, this is certainly another spot in a long line of disappointments so far this season.
