Ja'Mar Toombs Needs Our Help

I saw this post on Texags this morning:

This is my first post ever and i don't know how this will be accepted but I figured this would be the best place for me to start. This is Ja'Mar Toombs and my son Cory has been diagnosed with acinic cell carcinoma. It is a cancer that starts in the mouth and throat area. My son had some abnormal growths in his mouth that after tested were found to be tumors that did carry the cancer. He has already had the tumors removed in two surgeries and he has another Thursday to remove all his lymphnodes in his mouth. We are hoping that they can get all of it out before it spreads. The doctor says that this surgery usually gets all of it out. My son is doing fine and his spirits are high. He is a normal 12 year old that watches cartoons, plays video games, baseball and he loves to read. He is a straight A student and is is Honors classes. We live in Longview,TX now and he has been seeing doctors in Dallas and Plano. I am sad to say that this has taken a toll on my family. I am not well off enough to handle whats all required of me as his father and guardian. I ask that you keep my family in your prayers and if anyone has any advice or words of encouragement or just want to help out or let us know we are not forgotten, I can be reached at 903 806 7340. Like I said before this is the first place I came because I knew that this is my second family. Thank you

Pray Until Something Happens

I think we can all safely say we will never forget Tooooooombs, or the joy he brought all Aggies as a football player. I met Ja'Mar last Fall at the Dallas A&M Club Coaches Night, and he is a wonderful guy. It is heartbreaking that he is having to go through this.

I am happy to see that Billy Liucci and others on Texags are looking to set something up to help Toombs and his family. I have no double that the Aggie family will step up and help out as needed. I just want to help get the word out.

Gig'em Cory and Ja'Mar, and Beat The HELL Outta Cancer!!!!!
