June Edition - Pick Your Pony

Okay, we have a little more than two months to go before college football season begins, so it is time to pick your pony, and get your early choice to win it all in the BCS National Championship Game next January at the Rose Bowl. The current future odds are up, and Florida is going off as a 7/5 favorite after opening at 6/1. In the Big 12, Oklahoma is currently at 9/5 and texas is at 12/5. Southern Cal is currently a 2/1 shot to win it all.

So, who is your pony? What team do you think will win it all? Who would you drop $100 on today in Vegas if you had a chance?

We'll try to make this a monthly feature as the Summer goes along, taking player attrition, arrests, grades, and roster moves into consideration.

Star-divide

Right now, my pony has to be Florida. They have pretty much everyone returning, with their only significant loss being Percy Harvin. They have a favorable schedule, with Tennessee at home, and their only true road test being LSU in Baton Rouge. I believe the media will push Tim Tebow for the Heisman, and he has the best chance I have seen of becoming only the second person to win two Heisman Trophies. Oklahoma's Sam Bradford will be his closest competitor, but Bradford will be playing behind a retooled offensive line.

For now, I'll take Florida at 7/5, and am ready to collect my winnings after the Rose Bowl.
