"I watch Witten every day," Bennett said. "You know how you've got murderers that watch people for weeks and weeks and weeks? They learn everything about them. That's how I am with Witten."

What?
Murderers? This dude is kinda strange…this isn’t the first time he has said something that has left Cowboy fans scratching their collective heads. He’s also extremely cocky and full of himself and needs to mature quickly. I don’t know how many people watched Hard Knocks whenever the Boys were on it, but the kid has a long way to go. Maybe he’s gotten better since then…
Did you actually read the article?
or just focus on the quote?
Tellus is just sayng he watches everything Witten does so he can become a better player.
This is especially common for young wide receivers in West Coast schemes, because the amount of information they have to absorb can be overwhelming. There is nothing unusual about what he is doing, but his description of his methods is colorful. I laughed when I read it.
I also think you are confused. I realize how the quote was intended to be interpreted within the context of how it was said. Did you honestly believe I didn’t realize he was using an analogy and thought Bennett was comparing himself to, or simply stating, that he was a murderer or something? I thought you Aggies were the smartest people on earth…
if you based your opinion of Bennett on Hard Knocks then I feel sorry for you. I don’t know how anyone can read that and not laugh.

Why do you feel sorry for me? Does he act like a totally different person outside of what can be seen on Hard Knocks? I wouldn’t think so considering that this quote is pretty reflective of the personality that he displayed on that show. I chuckled a bit, but also kind of wondered why a joke involving murderers should be funny… again, maybe an overreaction…
I feel sorry for you because you are basing your judgment of a person on what some producer wanted you to see on a cable tv show. I realize you didn’t get to follow MartyB for the past 5 years like we have, but you should try to be last shallow. It would be like me basing my opinion of Crabtree on the NFL network show that followed his preparation for the draft.

Huh? How are you so sure that these actions were what the producer of the show wanted me to think or see? Did you ask him? Even if this IS what the producer wanted me to see, why would “MartyB” agree to be presented in a negative light to Cowboy fans? Also, it would be perfectly fair for you to base your opinion of Crabtree off of what you saw on an NFL network show. How else do you form opinions of people? Like you said, not everyone gets to make an assessment of a person after being around them for 5 years. I’m not sure if you participate in presidential elections, but forming opinions based strictly on what you see from people talking on TV is a fairly common occurrence in our society, and can have a pretty big effect, if you catch my drift.
What I did think was hilarious
That he did a little while ago was that “Black Olympics” thing with some of his friends. Did you guys hear about that? Not sure why he would do that, but pretty hilarious nonetheless. At least he doesn’t take himself too seriously and can laugh at himself.
Actually
Now that I think about it, it looks like my original opinion of Bennett is gaining more and more credibility. I mean, first he acts immature on hard knocks, then he raps about Cap ’N Crunch cereal, after that he hosts the Black Olympics, and THEN he says comes out with this brilliant piece of insight about murderers. How could anyone NOT find this guy weird/immature? Reality TV baby!!!
