Injuries Piling Up At Football Programs Across The Nation

In Baton Rouge, Louisiana, home of LSU, their starting MLB and defensive line is banged up. In Austin, Texas, home of the texas longhorns, they've lost a TE candidate when D.J. Grant tore up his knee, and TE Ian Harris suffering from neck and shoulder issues. Every program you look at around the nation, injuries are happening, pretty much a given when you are practicing a collision sport like football

However, there is one place where there are no players suffering from injuries despite a very physical Fall Camp, and that place is Gainesville, Florida, home of the Florida Gators. What is the secret to Florida remaining injury free, you ask? Let head coach Urban Meyer explain it to you:

Every time we run a play in practice, we start it with the huddle. Now, we want the guys to be tight this season, we want good team chemistry, so to get them to focus on functioning as one unit, we had them hold hands before they break the huddle. Well, as you can imagine, that ended up having a side benefit; every time we held hands on offense, whoever was injured or nicked up on a previous play was immediately healed by Tim Tebow.
