Thursday Thoughts
Well, yesterday was disappointing. We had a chance to move up in the rankings with a road win over a ranked Baylor team, and we failed to do that. Our baseball team lost to SFA for the first time in school history. Just not a good day all around for the Aggies.
Hopefully, today will be better.
- The Aggie softball team plays two games tonight in the Cathedral City Classic in California. They face Fordham at 5:30 PM and then Oregon at 10:30 PM. There will be games against UNLV and San Diego State tomorrow, and then a game with Stanford on Saturday. Hopefully, the Aggies can add some wins to their record as we try to gain some more experience for this team. Gametracker for our first game is here.
- Our men's basketball team's chance for expiation comes Saturday as we face texas at 1 PM at Reed. texas has struggled some of late, but they had a good win against Oklahoma State yesterday. They should come into Reed ready to go. Hopefully, our students will be there to give the 'sips the welcome they deserve.
- So, two months after being hit in the BCS Championship Game, Colt McCoy still isn't ready to throw a football. At what point do teams start to question his toughness?
- Men's basketball has three games left in the season, and women's basketball has two games left. We need to make these games count. It is time to get on a roll, start playing our best basketball, and roll into our respective NCAA Tournaments on a high note.

You bring up a good point about McCoy. His injury history will come up when teams are doing their research. Bet he drops to 4th round.

Wow, he missed all of 1 1/2 games in 4 years
that is a huge history of injury. Yeah I would be scared to draft a guy if he missed all of 1 1/2 games out of over 50. Seriously do you guys ever look anything up or do you just pull shit out of your ass and hope the three people that read this site actually look at it.

He has been knocked out of what, 3 games because of injuries sustained on his from blitzes? If he cannot stand up to the pounding in college what makes you think he can stand up to a NFL pass rush?

Oh so you are
also including the ‘06 game where he was already hurt at KSU and played the entire game with a sore shoulder and then got knocked out on one of the last few plays of the game on a bs cheapshot. What you mean NFL QB’s do not get hurt and knocked out of a game? Because you know Colt is the first QB to ever be knocked out of a football game.

he didn't get knocked out on a cheapshot
he got knocked out by Michael Bennett on a clean hit
IIRC, the A&M-texas game was played almost two weeks after the K-State game. Do you mean to tell me Mack Brown started McCoy knowing full well he was still injured? I thought only Bob Stoops did that [/sarcasm]
it's the same shoulder that was injured in '06
questioning if there is a possible injury situation with that shoulder is legitimate
shoulder
looked pretty good throwing for all those yards and TD’s in between the injuries.

Did he state his reason for not throwing as recovery from injury, or because he’s working on his mechanics a la Tebow? Or other.
he’s supposed to be throwing at the Texas Pro-Day like 2 weeks later.

Do people question your Fatness?
He has a pro day at campus before the draft, so he still gets the chance to workout in front of scouts.

Beergut, I fully expect you to write something about another college QB in your next
Thursday Thoughts.
The Bromance with Texas is getting old, and I think if you want to write something, write about something else.

no
We just watch our football team win every week…that is what makes us happy.
Where was a&m that night?
I was actually happy with the way they fought until the end facing the bad situation they were put in. The future is bright in Austin.

no celebration believe me
I was proud of the continuous fight from the team the whole game. I have no doubt in my mind Texas would’ve won that game if Colt didn’t get hurt, but he did. I’m ready for football season already.
Colt
Why would he throw to people that he has no chemistry with at the combine when he can wait and throw to WR’s he has experience with at the Texas pro day?
that may be the stupidest thing I've ever read on here
if you have problems throwing to anyone against air, you don’t belong in the NFL. period.
IF
you had to chose between the two and give your injures more rest..What would you do? Its a decision that could cost you millions of dollars.
