PrintRoss Gilliam a 6'7 185 kicker from Owensboro, Kentucky has confirmed that he is going to walk on at A&M in the fall. This is notable b/c Gilliam in his only season as a kicker, he has 39 out of 46 kickoffs result in touchbacks. He kicked a 50 and 52 yard FG. The kid has never done any weight training in his life yet evidently has a freakishly strong leg. He should be able to step in and immediately compete for the kickoff job. A&M probably wins two more games this season if they have a kicker who can consistently kick the ball into the endzone on kickoffs. Easiest way to improve out kickoff coverage is to have a kicker kick it deep into the endzone. Hopefully Gilliam will be able to help in this area.
