Greetings and Salutations! I am looking forward to tomorrow's game since both teams were pretty much dismissed as upset victims in round one. Here is my preview of Texas A&M. Feel free to stop by if you have anything to add.

good preview of our team

I would only add that Ray Turner is a freak of an athlete who will only get better the more minutes we give him, and that Middleton is a freshman who has gotten better as the season has gone on, and is playing his best basketball now.

I only slighlty quibble with your comment that we have no basketball history prior to the last five years; we had the winningest coach in SWC history in Shelby Metcalf, although that was when the NCAA allowed fewer teams into the Tournament than now, so we didn’t Dance as much. We were quiet in basketball for much of the ‘90s, kinda like Purdue in football, though. You have to remember, though, that this is Texas, and we care about football the way y’all do about basketball in Indiana, so as long as the football team is doing well, people are happy. Billy Gillispie helped change attitudes about our basketball program, and Mark Turgen has continued that success.

I think this team is comfortable playing in close games, so if our game with y’all is a grind-it-out affair, I like our chances.

I do expect a grinding affair

And that has me concerned. You have a major size advantage with us and you’ve played a tough schedule. We’re going to have to play like we did in the first 10 minutes against Siena.

A futile crusade to prevent mass ignorance

With Apologies To Randy Edsall, The Big East Remains Mostly Harmless

FILE -- This is an Oct. 18, 2008 file photo showing Connecticut corner back Jasper Howard (6) trying to get the crowd into the game during the fourth quarter of an NCAA college football game against Rutgers, in Piscataway, N.J. Jasper Howard had his little sisters' names tatooed on his chest. His friends say it was a constant reminder of why he was at U Conn _ to provide his family with a better life than the one he had in Miami's Little Haiti. (AP Photo/Mel Evans, File) link
