RAY TURNER FOR CLASS OF 2013 PRESIDENT

During my time at A&M, I participated in three campaigns of friends who were running for student body president, one of which was ultimately successful. While I disliked participating in student politics in general at A&M (I always thought the Corps' habit of voting as a block was despicable), I always tried to take an interest in who would represent the Aggie student body to the rest of the State and nation at large. For this reason, I always took an interest in who would be our student body president. So it was with great interest that I read this article about members of the current freshman class at A&M who are trying to campaign for Ray Turner as a write-in candidate for president of the Class of 2013. While we're talking about representing his class, and not the University at large here, I think this would be a terrific honor for Ray, and an effort I can get behind wholeheartedly. After everything Ray has overcome to be a student at A&M, and to get on the court as a basketball player, I think his experiences would make him an excellent representative for the Class of 2013. For this reason, we here at I Am The 12th Man support Ray Turner for Class of 2013 president.
