Aggie Baseball Clubs Tech, 9-2, At Big 12 Tourney

A 9 AM start time didn't faze the Aggies, as they jumped on Texas Tech early with 2 runs in the first inning on their way to a 9-2 decisive victory over Texas Tech. Freshman pitcher Michael Wacha was perfect in his first five innings as he went 7 innings, giving up 2 earned runs on 2 hits. John Stilson pitched the final two innings, giving up one hit and no runs.

The Aggies put the game away in the 7th inning, with back-to-back HRs by Matt Juengel (a 3-run homer) and Adam Smith (solo shot). Juengel led the Aggie offense, going 2-3 with 4 RBIs on the day. Caleb Shofner went 2-2 with 2 RBIs, also.

The Aggies will face Missouri tomorrow at 7:30 PM. Missouri is currently leading texas, 4-1, in the 5th inning of their game.
