Magazine Season Week 3 (Phil Steele's)
Sorry for the delay, holiday weekend kind of thwarted my memory. Heh.
Also, next week I'll have "Dave Campbell's Texas Football" up for review.
Phil Steele's 2010 College Football Preview
Pages - 328 (Not only is that way too many pages, but the print is smaller than ants. If it was normal text, this mag would've broke the 500 page barrier.)
Price - $8.95
National Top 10
1. OU
2. Ohio St
3. Alabama
4. TCU
5. Nebraska
6. Boise St

Texas A&M - #39 - The Aggies were an afterthought in '09 with many including myself picking them LAST in the Big XII South, but they made a bowl. With an improved D and explosive offense led by QB Jerrod Johnson, they continue to move up.
Unit Ranks (Nationally)
QB - #7 - Jerrod Johnson took over and started the last 10 in '08 throwing for 2,435 yards. Last year her improved to 3,579 with a 30:8 TD to INT ratio. Johnson also rushed for 506 yards and 8 td's. Ryan Tannehill splits time at WR and QB and is a solid b/u and true frosh Jameill Showers was IFS.
RB - #10 - Christine Michael led as a true frosh with 844 yards. Cyrus Gray was #2 with 757 and added 868 rec and ret yards. Bradley Stephens had 132.
WR - #3 - A&M has never produced a 1,000 yard receiver, but could have two players top that this season. Jeff Fuller missed 4 games due to injury but had 568 rec yards last year. Tannehill had 844 in '08 but worked half of the time at QB in '09 and "only" had 609. Uzoma Nwachukwu emerged and had 708 yards as a true frosh.
LB - #24
Pre Season All-Americans
Von Miller, 1st team LB
Big XII Prediction
3rd in the Big XII South - Not much was expected of A&M last year, but Sherman led them to a bowl including their improbable victory over Texas Tech. This year A&M is much stronger defensively and last season had one of the most explosive offenses in the country. They have 16 returning starters and last year played a school record 18 true frosh. This much more veteran team is ready to finally move back in to the upper half of the Big XII South standings after a two year absence.

If Jerrod is #7
I want to know who $1-6 are
Kyle Hix on the cover; really? He sucks, and he still makes coverboy? They’re getting desperate to put any ’sip they can on the cover.
I think Phil has always made it a point to not put more than one superstar on his covers.
I threw away the mag already, but I’m sure we can throw out the usual suspects. Here’s what I would guess….
1. Locker, UW
2. Mallett, ARK
3. Moore, BSU
4. Pryor, Ohio St
5. some no namer from the MAC
6. Another no namer from the MEAC
7. Jerrod

Pryor over Jerrod is a freaking joke
anyone who thinks Pryor is better than Jerrod hasn’t watched them play

I just thought of one I didn't put in there ahead of Johnson also.
Case Keenum from Houston.
So you can drop Pryor or one of those mid major qb’s that I’m sure is in there.
