A&M Adds More Depth At Quarterback
3-Star QB recruit Luke Woodley of Highland Park is transferring from Louisville (HT Longhorn11), where he spent part of the Spring semester after graduating early from high school, to Texas A&M. It looks like Woodley went to Louisville to play for Steve Kragthorpe, and decided he didn't like the situation under the new regime.
At 6'2 194 lbs, Woodley would likely have to redshirt to mature physically in the S&C program, so having to sit out a year after transferring won't hurt him. If nothing else, Woodley gives us an extra body at QB, and more depth at the position. With Woodley, we'll have Jameill Showers, Matt Joeckel, and Ryan Tannehill all competing for the starting QB position in Spring 2011, so we'll have the luxury of plenty of depth. We don't have a QB committed in the 2011 class yet, and while I am a believer you take a QB in every recruiting class just for depth, this means we may not need to take one.

It wasn’t meant to be witty, it was more like a patronizing, exasperated, intentionally uncreative retort.
You’re smart, where’d you learn them grammar skills?

Yeah, seriously
When a comment says
Having a youtube video sure is gay though
the only appropriate response (other than silence) is to be just as dumb.
Also, what Displaced Longhorn said about your inability to differentiate between a possessive and a contraction.
Where I'm from
the N-word is colloquial. But you don’t see me dropping it on the Tubes, or in conversation, or at all.
Dumbass.
Lots of student athletes promote themselves through youtube.
It’s just one more way to get in the mix of things as far as recruiting and finding a school that’s interested in said players talent.
Wes Welker did damn near the same thing before going to Tech. He made a video and got it to Mike Leach. Leach watched the video and snagged Welker in the process.
Sure is gay that he’s a top receiver in the NFL, you know, due to his video and all…..

it is fairly standard for most kids being recruited by college to have highlights somewhere on youtube
it is more of a surprise when they don’t have any available
I like it when they are on youtube so I don’t have to register somewhere to watch them
look out that window.....
Stafford to UGA, and others I can’t remember.
And it’s not like Louisville has had shitty QB’s the last half decade.

my point was star QB’s from Highland Park don’t need a youtube video in general. Glad the guy is coming to A&M.
Well maybe he isn't a "star" QB
Regardless, you can’t blame him for trying to get his name out there an increase his national exposure.
Just needs to work a little on that throwing motion
…but I bet if he was taller he would have been rated higher
6'2 is the ideal size Chip Kelly looks for in QBs
just some random trivia
if it is good enough for Kelly, it is good enough for me
his throwing motion actually doesn’t have that much wrong with it, he flicks his wrist, which is what you want
it looks like he had some major OL issues on some of those highlights, though
Does not look a legit 6’2 to me, unless all of his OL are 6’4. Has kind of a funky motion and does not appear to put much zip on the ball. Good pickup as a walkon.
I'm with you.
That is a short 6’2. He definitely has some touch though.
