It's Game Week!!!!
Finally, the never-ending off-season as come to a close, and football season has officially begun, as this week ends with Texas A&M playing in a football game on Saturday. If you're like me, you have to resist the urge to headbutt your coworkers as you go about your day, and attempt to master the art of looking busy while you're really not doing anything, because you're more concerned with figuring how many minutes our freshmen are going to get as we establish depth than you are with finishing the Anderson contract for the boss.
The official A&M athletic department site is still listing the depth chart from after Spring practice was over, but we've seen some movement in different areas since then. The team had their first game week press conference of the season, but transcripts aren't up yet, and the depth chart isn't listed yet.
I'm just going to throw out a make-shift depth chart, and we'll see how close it comes to matching the real thing.

Sherman has said multiple times that he wants eight offensive linemen to work with, the five starters, a swing guard, a swing tackle, and a backup center. In my projection, true freshman Jarvis Harrison is our swing guard, Jake Matthews is the swing tackle, and Danny Baker is the backup center. There was a lot of shuffling done on the offensive line, so we'll see who actually walks onto the field on Saturday.
On defense, I'm really looking forward to seeing how our interior defensive line performs, and to watching DaMontre Moore at OLB. I think DeRuyter is going to try to keep Von Miller on the field as much as possible, and I like the fact that we look pretty solid at the OLB positions right now. As always, my only concerns are on special teams. If we get just average special teams play, I'll be happy.

Lamothe is the 2ns string TE. Joe Villavacencia isbthe 2nd string guard ahead of Harrison. My guess is we will redshirt Harrison.

Don't forget
Tanehill at WR. I think that is where he’ll make the biggest contribution provided JJ stays healthy.
