Toxic Ten Rankings: Week 11
This was put together before the Oklahoma State-ISU game tonight, and I'll stick with them, because they are based on the performances from last weekend. As always, comments and constructive criticism are welcome. Previous week's ranking in parenthesis.
- Oklahoma State(1): Obliterated Tech to the tune of 66-6.
- Oklahoma(2): Bye week.
- Kansas State(3): Simply kept fighting until they outlasted A&M.
- Texas A&M(4): Waited until quadruple overtime before losing last Saturday.
- Missouri(8): BAYLOR!!!!
- Baylor(6): Furious comeback spurs overtime win over Kansas.
- texas(5): Offense didn't score in a 17-5 loss to Missouri.
- Iowa State(7): Bye week
- Texas Tech(9): The team didn't even show up for the Oklahoma State game.
- Kansas(10): Blew a 21 point lead in the 4th quarter against Baylor.
Toxic Ten Rankings: Week 10
All ten conference teams were in action last Saturday, so we have more movement in our rankings. Previous week rankings in parenthesis. As always, comments and constructive criticism are welcome.
- Oklahoma State(1): Close win at home over Kansas State.
- Oklahoma(2): Win over A&M cost them the most productive WR in school history.
- Kansas State(3): Literally took Kansas State to the final play of the game before losing.
- Texas A&M(5): Looked solid for three of four quarters against Oklahoma.
- texas(6): Obliterated a Tech team that saw its defense quit in the second quarter of the game.
- Baylor(9): Dispatched Missouri in Waco.
- Iowa State(7): It was ugly and low scoring, but a win is a win.
- Missouri(4): BAYLOR!!!
- Texas Tech(8): Looked like a part of the team quit on the coaches in Austin.
- Kansas(10): A close loss is still listed as a loss in the record books.
Toxic Ten Rankings: Week 9
All ten conference teams were in action last Saturday, so we have more movement in our rankings. Previous week rankings in parenthesis. As always, comments and constructive criticism are welcome.
- Oklahoma State(1): Destroyed Baylor at home.
- Oklahoma(5): Slaughtered Kansas State on the road.
- Kansas State(2): Destroyed at home, only this high because they have only one loss.
- Missouri(8): Defeated A&M in overtime on the road.
- Texas A&M(3): Found a way to lose to Missouri - again.
- texas(7): Obliterated Kansas in Austin.
- Iowa State(9): Destroyed Texas Tech in Lubbock.
- Texas Tech(4): Embarrassed themselves at home against Iowa State.
- Baylor(6): Took two weeks to show they didn't belong on the same field with OSU.
- Kansas(10): They could have forfeited, and the stats wouldn't have been much different.
Toxic Ten Rankings: Week 8
Eight conference teams were in action last weekend, with texas and Baylor having a bye because of their game moved to December 3. We had a major upset, though, so we have some movement in our rankings. Previous week rankings in parenthesis. As always, comments and constructive criticism are welcome.
- Oklahoma State(1): Solid win over a game Missouri team on the road.
- Kansas State(3): Blew out Kansas in an interstate rivalry game that wasn't as close as the score.
- Texas A&M(4): Took care of business and beat Iowa State on the road.
- Texas Tech(6): Biggest upset of the weekend as they knocked off OU in Norman.
- Oklahoma(3): Big home loss to Tech reveals questionable depth on Oklahoma team.
- Baylor(5): Bye week to prepare for big game against OSU.
- texas(7): Bye week to prepare for Kansas' visit to Austin.
- Missouri(8): Turnovers killed them in a home loss to Oklahoma State.
- Iowa State(9): Lost another homecoming game to Texas A&M.
- Kansas(10): Just a few more weeks and the nightmare will be over.
Toxic Ten Rankings: Week 7
All ten conference teams were in action last weekend, all playing conference games, so we have more movement in our rankings this week. Previous week rankings in parenthesis. As always, comments and constructive criticism are welcome.
- Oklahoma State(1): Looked less-than-dominant in a win against texas, but they did win.
- Oklahoma(2): Looked like they didn't want to be in Lawrence Saturday night in a road win.
- Kansas State(3): Came back from a halftime deficit to win on the road in Lubbock.
- Texas A&M(5): Moved up after home win over Baylor.
- Baylor(4): Killed on the road at Kyle Field.
- Texas Tech(7): Blew a halftime lead at home against Kansas State.
- texas(6): Defensive breakdowns cost them at winnable game at home against Oklahoma State.
- Missouri(8): Slaughtered Iowa State in Columbia.
- Iowa State(9): Neither the offense or defense showed up in Columbia in a blowout loss.
- Kansas(10): Jayhawks made it a game for a half against Oklahoma Saturday.
Toxic Ten Rankings: Week 6
All ten conference teams were in action last weekend, all playing conference games, so we have more movement in our rankings this week. Previous week rankings in parenthesis. As always, comments and constructive criticism are welcome.
- Oklahoma State(1): Starters didn't play second half of blowout win over Kansas.
- Oklahoma(2): Beat texas worse this year than they did the 5-7 texas team last year.
- Kansas State(3): Wildcats are simply winning games by refusing to lose them.
- Baylor(6): Moved back up after taking down Iowa State at home.
- Texas A&M(10): Won a tough game on the road in Lubbock.
- texas(4): Blasted by Oklahoma in Dallas, now welcome OSU to Austin.
- Texas Tech(5): Defense is still a major issue in Tuberville's second season in Lubbock.
- Missouri(7): Spent two weeks preparing to lose to Kansas State.
- Iowa State(8): Cyclones have offense to play with anyone, defense to lose to everyone.
- Kansas(9): Turner Gill should be happy KU can't afford to fire him.
Toxic Ten Rankings: Week 5
Eight of the ten conference teams were in action last weekend, and six of them were playing conference games, so we have more movement in the rankings this week. Previous week rankings in parenthesis. As always, comments and constructive criticism are welcome.
- Oklahoma State(1): Relaxed with a bye week.
- Oklahoma(2): Destroyed Ball State in a game that was never in doubt.
- Kansas State(7): Scratched and clawed their way to a win over a ranked Baylor team.
- texas(5): Beat Iowa State on the road in a game that wasn't close after the first quarter.
- Texas Tech(6): Came back from 20 down to defeat Kansas on the road.
- Baylor(3): Baylored away a loss to Kansas State.
- Missouri(8): Rested up during their bye week.
- Iowa State(4): Came back down to Earth in an ugly loss to texas.
- Kansas(9): Were gutty and competitive, but still lost to Tech.
- Texas A&M(10): Another second-half collapse brings their losing streak to two.
Toxic Ten Rankings: Week 4
Seven of the ten conference teams were in action last weekend, and four of those teams were opening conference play, so we'll see some movement in the polls this week. Previous week rankings in parenthesis. As always, comments and constructive criticism are welcome.
- Oklahoma State(2): Defeated a top ten team on the road in their conference opener.
- Oklahoma(3): Still struggle to run the ball or stop the run.
- Baylor(4): Inflated their stats in a blowout of Rice.
- Iowa State(7): Bye week to prepare for texas.
- texas(6): Bye week to prepare for Iowa State.
- Texas Tech(5): Needed a TD with 36 seconds left to beat Nevada by one.
- Kansas State(9): Road win at Miami shows State is improving.
- Missouri(8): Now has two losses after their loss in Norman.
- Kansas(10): Bye week to prepare for Texas Tech.
- Texas A&M(1): They will be ranked here until they end their losing streak.
